Out to pasture

We finally, yes FINALLY got those gates up tonight thus securing a pasture for our little cows to graze in. They have been watching that grass growing for a month now with mouths watering while visions of dandelions danced in their heads. The kids and I would pick grass for them and it got to the point that every time we went near the field they would be mooing at us, begging for some fresh grass. At 6:00 this evening we finally got everything finished and opened the rails to let them out of the enclosure that has been their world for the last month and a half. This is what they looked like:

*laugh* just kidding, though if Dexters could dance I'm sure they would be still! This is what they really looked like:

A couple of very happy little heifers! Now they had better stay put or else...!
