What is that giant yellow orb in the sky?

Yesterday the sun made a brief appearance which sent me running out the door in my gumboots to get a few things planted. The soil is like wet cement and digging in it isn't the most fun thing but I got a good sweat in at least! Afterwards, I grabbed my camera and took a few pictures of the flowers that are in bloom right now. My veggie garden isn't worth looking at, it's drowning in water which is terribly disappointing!

Today it is back to rain. Yet another inside day which is just as well I suppose; both my kids have the flu.
